From 22 to 24 April 2026, CEKOM 3LJ hosted the second training event and project meeting within the Erasmus+ project Green Care Career: Advancing Health, Sustainability and Purpose in Agriculture (Project No. 2025-1-HR01-KA220-VET-000356995) in Trilj, Croatia.
As the project coordinator, CEKOM 3LJ leads the implementation of this €250,000 Erasmus+ initiative. The partnership brings together the University of Split (Faculty of Chemistry and Technology and Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences), Fabula movens Ltd., Braća Radić Secondary School (Kaštel Štafilić, Croatia), GRM Novo Mesto – Centre of Biotechnics and Tourism (Slovenia), SUGS Brakja Miladinovci Secondary School (North Macedonia), and the Sonja Marinković Agricultural School with Student Residence (Požarevac, Serbia).
During the three-day meeting, project partners focused on the further development of educational content, strengthening international cooperation, promoting sustainability in vocational agricultural education, and creating learning materials that address mental well-being within the agricultural sector.
Participants were introduced to the activities and facilities of CEKOM 3LJ and took part in practical media training designed to improve communication and presentation skills. The programme included workshops on camera presence, public speaking, and voice techniques, enabling experts involved in the project to confidently present educational content in digital formats. During the event, educational video materials featuring project experts were also recorded and will form part of the project’s online learning resources.
Alongside the training activities, partners continued planning the implementation of the Green Care Career programme and advanced the development of the project’s educational modules, ensuring that the curriculum reflects the objectives of sustainability, innovation, and learner-centred education.
To strengthen the connection between the project and the local community, participants visited the Museum of the Trilj Region and a local family farm and traditional restaurant, Konoba Selo in Čaporice. These visits highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage, supporting sustainable rural development, and showcasing examples of good practice in local agriculture and tourism.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the next stages of project implementation, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the use of innovative digital tools in vocational agricultural education. The event further strengthened the partnership between the participating organisations and established a solid foundation for the continued development of high-quality educational resources that integrate sustainability, mental well-being, and social responsibility into agricultural training.
